1 lb. hamburger
3 carrots, shredded and sliced
2 potatoes, scrubbed and cubed
1 c. barley
2 stalks celery, chopped
16 oz. tomatoes
16 oz. water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 small onion, chopped

Place hamburger, tomato, water, sugar, salt, celery and onion in when hamburger is browning in large soup pot. When browned add rest of ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer on low till heated through.
