PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE 
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
6 slices canned pineapple, drained
6 cherries
1 pkg. yellow cake mix

Place butter in 9 inch round glass dish. Microwave on high for 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir in brown sugar. Arrange pineapple and cherries on top of sugar and butter.

Prepare cake mix as directed on package and pour over pineapple. Microwave on simmer for 7 minutes. Microwave on high for 3 or 4 minutes or until toothpick comes clean. Let stand 1 minute and turn out onto platter.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
