2 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening (butter)
1 c. hot coffee
2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour milk (2 tbsp. vinegar added to milk)
1 lg. pkg. Cool Whip
1 can chilled cherry pie filling
Chocolate jimmies

Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, sugar and shortening. Mix coffee with baking soda and add to other ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees in 9x13 pan that is greased and floured for about 50-55 minutes or until center tests done. Cool cake completely. Spread on chilled cherry pie filling, cover with Cool Whip and sprinkle with jimmies.
