1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
1/2 c. Crisco
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 c. flour
Pinch salt

Mix the above ingredients and chill. Make into balls, flatten with fork. Place one chocolate chip on top of each cookie. Bake 350 degrees about 10 minutes.
