PECAN SPICE BARS 
1 c. butter or yellow cake mix
1/2 c. butter, melted
4 eggs
1 c. chopped pecans
1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

Grease bottom and sides of 9x13 inch baking pan. Reserve 2/3 cup dry cake mix for filling.

Combine remaining cake mix in large mixing bowl with melted butter and 1 egg. Mix until crumbly. Press into prepared pan and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until light golden brwon.

Meanwhile, prepare filling: Combine remaining ingredients except nuts, beating at medium speed with electric mixer for 1 or 2 minutes. Pour filling over partially baked crust. Sprinkle with pecans. Return to oven and bake 30-35 minutes until filling is set. Cool and cut into bars. Very good for freezing.
