ORANGE SLICE CAKE | |
1 lb. Brock orange slices 1 lb. dates 2 c. pecans 2 sticks butter 2 c. sugar 4 c. flour 1 1/2 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. baking soda 4 eggs Cut candy, dates, and nuts in small pieces. Sift 2 cups flour over mixture. Leave cut up overnight in pan. Cream butter and sugar mixture. Pour over fruit mixture. Mix well and bake at 275 degrees for 2 1/2 hours. While hot, mix 2 cups brown sugar with 1 cup frozen or fresh orange juice and pour over cake. |
