NEW ORLEANS BREAD PUDDING 
4 c. milk
3 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. melted butter
1 c. coconut
1 c. raisins, soaked overnight in rum or whiskey
6 to 8 c. bread crumbs or 1 loaf of French bread

Combine all ingredients and pour into buttered baking dish.

Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

SAUCE:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 c. whiskey or rum

Cream sugar and butter over heat, blend in yolk slowly, stir in whiskey or rum.
