CHESS PIE 
1/2 cup butter
3 eggs, beaten until light
1/2 cup dates, chopped fine
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup nuts

Add sugar to creamed butter, blend well. Add eggs, beat in mixer for about 10 minutes. Add dates, raisins, and nuts.

Bake in pie shell at 425°F for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 325 for 30 minutes.
