CHERRY OR BLUEBERRY SQUARES 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
1 can cherry or blueberry pie filling

Sift dry ingredients, set aside. Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Add vanilla and beat. Add dry ingredients. Grease 9 x 13 inch pan. Put 3/4 of dough in pan. Spread with pie filling. Dot with remaining dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
