40 saltine crackers, leave whole 1 c. butter (2 sticks) 1 c. light brown sugar 1 (12 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate chips Spray 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 jelly roll pan with Pam. Line bottom of pan with crackers. Melt butter, add brown sugar and bring to boil. Boil 4 minutes, no longer. Spread mixture evenly over crackers with back of wooden spoon. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over crackers, spreading evenly with back of wooden spoon. Put in freezer for 20 minutes, then score. When cool, break into pieces. Store in tin container that has been lined with waxed paper and refrigerate. |
