DICKIE'S CARAMEL PECAN BARS 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix (without pudding)
1/4 c. butter

Cut butter into cake mix until it looks like cornmeal. Pat into a 14"x17" jelly roll pan, ungreased. Can use a smaller jelly roll pan but be careful when baking.

Bring to boil together:

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
Dash of salt
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. honey

Bring to a rolling boil and boil 3 minutes. Stir in 1/4 cup heavy cream and 1 teaspoon vanilla (being careful that mix does not bubble over pan). Spread 4 cups pecan halves over cake mix. Spread liquid mix over pecans and bake at 350 degrees for 17 to 22 minutes. Cut into bars. This is an extremely rich bar cookie, but delicious.
