CHEESY CABBAGE 
1/4 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt
6 med. cabbage wedges (about 1 lb.)
1/4 c. chopped red or green pepper
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
Dash of pepper
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Place water and salt in 1 1/2 quart microwavable casserole. Arrange cabbage wedges, spoke fashion, with core at outside edge. Cover tightly and microwave on high (100%) 5 minutes. Rotate casserole 1/2 turn; microwave until crisp tender, 3 to 5 minutes; drain.

Place red pepper and butter in 2 cups microwavable measure. Microwave uncovered on high (100%) until pepper is crisp tender, about 1 minute. Blend in flour, garlic salt and pepper; stir in milk. Microwave, uncovered, stirring every minute, until sauce is thickened, 2 to 3 minutes. Pour sauce over hot cabbage wedges. Sprinkle with cheese.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
