SPICY BANANA BARS 
1 c. sifted flour
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. allspice

Sift together above ingredients. Combine 1/4 cup Crisco and 1/3 cup mashed bananas. Beat for 2 minutes. Add 1 unbeaten egg; beat 1 minute. Add dry ingredients alternately with 1/4 cup milk. Stir in 1/3 cup chopped pecans. Spread in well greased and lightly floured 9x13x2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 22-25 minutes. Frost while warm. Makes about 3 dozen bars.

LEMON FROSTING:

Combine 2 tablespoons melted butter, 1 tablespoon hot water and 2 teaspoons lemon juice. Blend in 1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar. Thin with additional hot water, a few drops at a time, if necessary.
