NO CRUST GERMAN CHOCOLATE PIE | |
2 oz. German sweet baking chocolate 1/2 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 3 beaten eggs 1 c. sugar 3 tbsp. all purpose flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. chopped walnuts In a saucepan, melt chocolate and butter over low heat. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and cool. In a small mixer bowl, combine eggs, sugar, flour and salt. Beat with electric mixer just until blended. DO NOT OVER BEAT. Fold in cooled chocolate mixture; fold in the cup of nuts. Pour into lightly greased and floured 9" pie plate. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until knife inserted just off center comes out clean. Refrigerate the pie overnight before serving. Serve with whipped cream and chopped nuts. |
