ONE LOAF WHITE BREAD 
1/2 c. milk
1 tbsp. and 1 tsp. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. warm water, (110)
1 pkg. active dry yeast
3 1/4 c. flour

Scald milk (120 to 130 in microwave); add butter, sugar and salt. Cool to room temperature. Pour warm water into large mixing bowl, add yeast; dissolve thoroughly. Add cooled milk (room temperature) mixture to yeast. Mix in mixture at medium speed gradually add 1 cup flour, and mix thoroughly. On slow mixer speed gradually add 1 1/4 cup flour until well mixed and starting to get sticky. Gradually add in remaining flour and knead until forms ball. Place in greased bowl, cover and allow to rise until double in volume (about 1 1/2 hours). Punch down and turn. Allow to rise until doubled in volume (about 1 1/2 hours). Punch down and turn. Allow to rise until doubled (40 minutes). Punch down, fold and turn let rise on board 10 minutes. Shape dough to fit into greased bread pan (9 x 5 x 3). Cover and allow dough to rise in bread pan until doubled (about 30 minutes).

Bake at 375 degrees for 50 minutes. Brush with butter when loaf comes out of oven.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
