LADY LOCKS 
7 c. flour
2 c. Crisco
2 c. milk
1 lg. cake yeast
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. sugar
Pinch of salt
4 tsp. vanilla
4 egg yolks

Mix Crisco and flour like pie dough. Add sugar, salt and baking powder. Put yeast, a little of the sugar in 3/4 cup milk heated to lukewarm. crumble yeast and let raise a little as it softens (5 minutes). Add egg yolks and the rest of the milk and yeast mixture.

Roll out thin, cut in 3/4 inch strips and wrap around a greased fork covered clothespin. Overlap the dough when winding on pin about 1/4 inch. Bake at 350 degrees 10 to 20 minutes. Remove from pins as quickly as possible while the dough is still pliable. Pull dough off the small end of the pin.
