CHOCOLATE LAYER COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. flour
Pinch of salt
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. chopped walnuts

Cream first 3 ingredients. Add remaining ingredients. Bake in greased cookie sheet (9x13) at 350 degrees for 22 minutes. Have ready 2 cups coconut, 1 can Eagle Brand sweetened milk (blend together). Spread this mixture on top of partially cooked layer, then continue baking for 20 minutes.

ICING:

3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
Milk

Blend. Spread over warm layers. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Wait overnight to cut into squares. Very rich and moist. Enjoy!
