CHOCOLATE MINT SQUARES 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
3/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. instant cocoa mix
1 1/4 c. butter
4 eggs
2 c. nuts, chopped
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. corn syrup

Sift together flour, sugar, cocoa mix and salt. Add butter, eggs, vanilla, and corn syrup and blend thoroughly. Add the chopped nuts. Spread mixture into 13 x 9 x 2 inch greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done. Cool.

FROSTING:

2 c. confectioners sugar
2 tbsp. warm milk
1 tsp. peppermint extract
4 tbsp. butter

GLAZE:

2 squares unsweetened chocolate
2 tbsp. butter

Combine and beat together frosting ingredients; add a few drops of green food coloring. Spread over cookies. Melt together the glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled frosting. Makes 8 dozen squares.
