CURRIED BROCCOLI WITH CHICKEN OR
TURKEY (CHICKEN DIVAN)
 
4 pkgs. frozen broccoli with stems, drained well
4 to 5 lg. chicken breasts, cooked, skin removed, cut in CHUNKS
3 cans cream of chicken soup
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. curry powder
1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese with a few bread crumbs

Fix a layer of broccoli and then a layer of chicken on top. Cover with sauce. Sprinkle cheese on top, the last 10 minutes and sprinkle a few bread crumbs on top of cheese.

You may want to cut the stems on the broccoli to make it easier to serve out of casserole, then alternate the broccoli sideways, the bottoms with the tops, vice versa. Bake 350 degrees 30 to 45 minutes. Use oblong casserole dish.

Great recipe, perfect for Thanksgiving turkey leftovers. I like to mix the cheese in with the sauce. Also instead of bread crumbs try melting 1-2 tbsp. butter with a little garlic powder in a skillet and toss cubed bread (2-3 slices) in this and put on top.

I followed the recipe except I used less curry powder (personal preference) and I added garlic salt, onion powder and lemon pepper over the top of the chicken before I added the soup mixture. It was very tasty.
