1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. sifted flour
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolk. Stir in vanilla, salt and flour. Pat into cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Melt chocolate in double boiler. Spread over cookie mixture while warm. Sprinkle with nuts. Cut into squares. Makes 3 dozen.
