7 LAYER VEGETABLE SALAD 
1/2 to 1 whole head of lettuce, coarsely shredded
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped green pepper
1 c. chopped onion
1 pkg. frozen English peas, cooked & cooled

Layer vegetables in a 2 quart bowl in the order listed, ending with a layer of lettuce on top.

TOPPING:

1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
Grated Parmesan cheese
4 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled

Spread mayonnaise evenly over top sealing to edges. Sprinkle sugar and Parmesan cheese over mayonnaise. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight. Just before serving, sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
