MY FAVORITE POUND CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
4 eggs,
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract

Blend Crisco and sugar. Add buttermilk, beat. Add flour, soda, and salt. Continue beating. Add eggs, one at a time, beating continuously. Add vanilla and almond extracts. Mix ingredients in order given. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cook at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Reduce heat to 300 degrees and cook 15 minutes longer.
