BAKED BEANS 
8 lb. navy beans
7 qt. water
1 1/2 lb. bacon ends or salt pork
4 lg. onions
2 c. molasses
2 c. brown sugar
4 tbsp. salt
1 1/2 tbsp. dry mustard

Pick over beans and wash thoroughly. Place beans in inset pan of electric roaster. Cover with 7 quarts of cold water and soak overnight. Simmer in same water with control set at 300 degrees. Cover and cook until skins pierce easily. Do not boil. Add diced onions and meat and rest of ingredients. Stir lightly until well mixed. Turn control to 250 degrees and cook 4 to 5 hours until beans are done.
