ONE - DISH MEAL 
1 lb. hamburger
2 onions, peeled & cut in 1/8 inch slices
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 lg. raw potatoes, peeled & diced
3 lg. carrots, peeled & diced
1 c. Minute Rice
Water to cover

Brown hamburger in a skillet until it looses its reddish color. Add the onions. Cook until they are transparent. Add the salt and pepper. In a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole, place the potatoes first; a layer of carrots, then a layer of rice. Last add the sauteed meat and onion mixture. Pour on enough water to cover. Leave uncovered, bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serve hot.
