POPPY SEED COFFEE CAKE 
2 packets yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
3 eggs
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. hot scalded milk
2 tbsp. butter
5-5 1/2 c. flour

Mix yeast and warm water (let stand). Mix sugar, butter, eggs, salt, scalded milk. Mix to above mixture. Then add flour. Let rise 1-1 1/2 hours. 2 tablespoons butter - spread on risen dough.

FILLING:

2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. walnuts
1 can poppy seed

Spread filling on risen dough - roll into logs (makes 2). Raise again 30 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
