HILDA'S POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
5 eggs
1 c. milk
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon or pineapple

Blend butter, sugar and Crisco until smooth and creamy. Add eggs, beating well after each. Add remaining ingredients alternately with milk. Bake in greased and floured tube pan. Bake in cold oven on 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Do not open oven door until done.
