HAWAIIAN POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
6 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 sm. can crushed pineapple
1 can coconut (optional)

Cream sugar and shortening until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Cool slightly and remove from pan. Spread with glaze.

GLAZE:

1/2 c. butter, softened
Juice of 1 lemon
1 c. powdered sugar

Mix well and spread on warm cake.
