CREME DE MENTHE SQUARES 
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 (16 oz.) can Hershey's chocolate syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

MIDDLE LAYER:

2 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. creme de menthe
1/2 c. butter, soft
Green food coloring

ICING:

6 oz. chocolate chips
6 tbsp. butter

Combine all CAKE ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Beat at low speed for 1 minute; beat an additional 2 to 3 minutes on high. Pour batter into a 9 x 13 inch greased pan and bake at 305 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool cake completely before doing middle layer.

Combine all MIDDLE LAYER ingredients in a medium size mixing bowl and blend until smooth, spreading consistency. Spread on top of cake. Melt chocolate chips and butter together and mix well. Pour over cake. Allow icing to harden before cutting into squares.
