TURTLE CAKE 
1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 pkg. caramel candy
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. pecans
1 1/2 sticks butter
1/2 c. evaporated milk

Mix cake according to package directions. Melt in saucepan over low heat the butter, caramels and milk. Stir until caramels are thoroughly melted. Grease and flour oblong pan. Bake 1/2 cake mixture until toothpick comes out clean. Pour caramel sauce mixture over cooked 1/2 of cake. Sprinkle the chocolate chips and nuts over caramel sauce. Pour rest of cake batter over this mixture. Bake at 350 degrees until toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely before serving.
