SWISS CHEESE SCRAMBLE | |
8 pieces bacon, fried crisp, drained and crumbled 2 c. soft bread cubes (no crusts) 1 3/4 c. milk 8 slightly beaten eggs 3/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 2 tbsp. butter 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt 1/2 lb. sliced Swiss cheese 2 tbsp. melted butter 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs Combine bread cubes and milk. Drain after 5 minutes. Combine milk drained with eggs, salt and pepper. Melt butter in skillet. Add egg mixture and scramble until soft, not quite fully cooked. Add soaked bread crumbs and turn into a 9-inch square casserole. Sprinkle with seasoned salt. Place Swiss cheese on top. |
