PINEAPPLE REFRIGERATOR DESSERT 
1 box vanilla wafers or 1 1/2 c. graham crackers
3 tbsp. melted butter
3 eggs
3 c. confectioners' sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. softened butter
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 pt. whipped cream, sweetened

Top each serving with maraschino cherry. Crush 1 box vanilla wafers. Mix 1/2 crumbs with 2 tablespoons melted butter and spread in bottom of 9 x 13 inch dish. Beat eggs until frothy and add confectioners' sugar, vanilla, and 1/2 cup softened butter. Put egg mixture over crumbs. Sprinkle 1/2 cup nuts over egg mixture. Top nuts and pineapple with stiffly beaten whipping cream. Refrigerate for at least 12 hours, covered. Top each serving with cherry.
