NUTMEG LOGS 
1 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. brandy extract
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream butter and flavorings. Gradually add sugar. Blend in egg. Sift together flour, nutmeg and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well and chill. Shape into logs 2" long and 1/2" in diameter. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Cool then ice with following frosting.

1/3 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. brandy extract
2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. milk

Beat until smooth and creamy. Put through cake decorator or frost with knife then draw a fork through to give log effect. Dust with nutmeg. Makes 7 dozen small cookies.
