OLD FASHION TEA CAKES | |
1/2 c. shortening 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind 2 tsp. baking powder 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 c. sifted flour 1/2 tsp. salt Cream sugar and shortening well. Add eggs and flavoring and blend. Fold in dry ingredients sifted. Roll out on floured board and cut with cookie cutter. Bake 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until light brown. Sprinkle with sugar before baking. |
