CANADIAN BIRTHDAY CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
6 eggs
1/2 c. molasses
1 box currants
1 box raisins
1/2 c. dates
1/2 c. cherries
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Mix in order given. Bake at 250 degrees for 4-5 hours. Spread with butter icing.
