CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
6 cooked sweet potatoes (canned maybe used)
1 c. brown sugar, packed
4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. salt

Oven: Heat oven to 350 degrees. Slice sweet potatoes into baking dish. Make syrup by bring remaining ingredients to a boil. Pour syrup over potatoes. Bake about 30 minutes basting occasionally until syrup thickens and potatoes are glazed.

Stove Top: Mix ingredients in heavy skillet and cook until mixture bubbles. Add the potatoes and cook slowly. Turn occasionally until potatoes are glazed about 20 minutes.
