CUSTARD BREAD PUDDING 
4 slices bread
4 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
4 c. milk

Butter slices of bread on one side. Beat eggs slightly. Add sugar and mix well. Add vanilla and nutmeg. In pan heat milk until hot (not boiling), add to egg mixture. Pour into 7 x 11 inch pan. Place bread on top (buttered side up). Bake in 350 degree oven 45 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean. We like this warm.
