COUNTRY SUPPER BAKED BEANS 
2 lbs. navy pea beans
1 lb. bacon
Water
1 1/2 lbs. sugar

Look over beans, discard discolored ones. Put beans in 6 quart dish, cover with water and let soak all night. In the morning rinse beans, cover with water. Add bacon and simmer for 2 to 3 hours. When the beans are very tender and the water has been absorbed, remove dish from stove, stir in sugar. Place in baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until lightly browned on top.
