GRANDPA'S BAKED BEANS | |
1 lb. white beans 1 can tomato soup 6 tbsp. molasses 2 tbsp. cider vinegar 1/2 c. sherry wine White sugar to taste Salt pork Chopped onion Sort and wash 1 pound beans overnight in water. Boil until tender. Add tomato soup, molasses, cider, vinegar, sherry wine and sugar. Pour into glass baking dish (can be any size). Sprinkle top with chopped onion and place salt pork slices on top of each dish (as much as you like). Start baking at 400 degrees and turn to 350 degrees when half done. Total time 1/2 hours. |
