1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. butter

Mix sugar and flour well. Add salt, egg yolks and milk. Cook until thick. Add vanilla and butter.

FOR BANANA: Slice 1 banana in baked pie crust. Add 2 sliced bananas to pudding, pour into crust. Top with meringue.

FOR COCONUT: Add coconut to pudding, put in baked pie shell. Top with meringue. Sprinkle coconut on top of meringue. Bake until golden brown.
