SAUSAGE AND ZUCCHINI | |
1 lb. sausage 1 c. chopped onion 1 green pepper, cut in strips 1 clove garlic, minced 1 lb. can tomatoes 8 oz. tomato sauce 1 tsp. oregano 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper 1 1/4 lb. zucchini, sliced 1 1/2 c. seashell macaroni 1 c. water 1 c. shredded cheese Brown sausage in Dutch oven, when meat begins to change color. Add onions, green pepper, and garlic. Saute until meat is well browned. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, and oregano, cayenne pepper, zucchini, uncooked macaroni and water. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Top with cheese and cook until cheese melts. |
