VANILLA CREAM PIE 
1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. whole milk, scalded
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
4 egg yolks

Place in blender last 3 ingredients. Mix well. Mix together with dry ingredients. Add to scalded milk. Stir and cook for 4 to 4 1/2 minutes or until thick. Add 3 tablespoons butter. Pour into cooled pie shell. Cover with meringue and brown.
