1 angel food cake
2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 c. confectioners' sugar
2 pkg. Dream Whip (do not use Cool Whip)
2 cans cherry pie filling (Thank You or similar brand)

Bake an angel food cake mix according to package directions, allow to cool completely. Break into bite-size pieces. Can be baked day ahead of mixing. Or buy ready baked cake.

Prepare cake; set aside. Prepare Dream Whip according to package directions; set aside.

In large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese slightly; gradually add the 2 cups confectioners' sugar, beating until well blended. Gently beat or fold in prepared Dream Whip, mixing completely. Fold in cake pieces until completely mixed.

Pour into 9x13 inch glass baking dish. Spread pie cherries over top. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight before serving.
