PEANUT CAKE BARS | |
White cake mix 1 lb. salted peanuts Powdered sugar frosting Prepare cake mix as directed. Bake in a jelly roll pan or 2 pans so the cake is about an inch high after baking. Cut in 2 inch squares or whatever you prefer. Put in freezer a few hours. Prepare frosting of powdered sugar, half and half and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla so it is of spreading consistency. Grind peanuts with food grinder. Take six pieces of cake out at a time from freezer, spread with frosting on all sides and roll in peanuts. They can be put back in freezer or stored in tight container for several days. This has always been a special treat for the kids. |
