CHEESY HASH BROWNS | |
1 lb. frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed 1 stick butter 1 (8 oz.) sour cream 1 can cream of celery soup 5-6 green onions, chopped (greens, too!) 1 tsp. seasoned salt 1 tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 (8 oz.) shredded mild Cheddar cheese 2 c. crushed corn flakes (optional) Thaw frozen hash browns and mix with 1/2 stick butter, melted. Add other ingredients and bake in cold oven (not preheated) at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Just before baking time is up, mix corn flake (crushed) with remaining 1/2 stick butter and top casserole with it. Continue baking until time is up. Serves 8-10 people. Great with ham, chicken, meat loaf, etc. |
