1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. hot mashed potatoes
1/2 c. sweet milk
1/4 c. walnuts, chopped fine
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
4 tbsp. melted bitter chocolate
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
Salt (pinch)

Mix butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time. Add mashed potatoes and milk followed by remaining ingredients. (Sift all dry ingredients together first.) Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes in greased and floured round cake pans for layers.
