GOOD CREAMY CARAMEL ICING 
2 c. brown sugar, sifted
1 tbsp. Crisco
1 tbsp. corn syrup
1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. Crisco
2 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar, sifted
4 tbsp. hot milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil first 4 ingredients to 325 degrees or until a soft ball forms in cold water. Combine second 4 ingredients in a bowl and beat until smooth. Pour the hot first mixture over the second mixture. Beat until thick and creamy.
