SAUSAGE AND BEEF CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/2 lb. hot sausage, cut into 1-inch slices 1 c. chopped onion 2 tsp. oregano leaves, crushed (if you choose to use oregano seasoning, don't use as much) 1 can Campbell's cheddar soup 1 can Campbell's tomato soup 1 c. water 4 c. wide noodles 4 slices cheddar cheese Salt and pepper to taste Brown beef and sausage separately; drain off fat. (I browned the beef and then at the same time threw in the onion and oregano, added soups and water. Then, the sausage.) Combine meat and noodles and pour into 2-quart shallow dish. Cover and place in cold oven. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes. Top with cheese and return to oven until cheese melts. |
