BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
1/2 cup butter
2 tbsp. plus 1 1/2 tsp. granulated sugar
1 egg beaten
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
5 Cups bisquick biscuit mix

Preheat oven to 450°F.

In large bowl, mix all ingredients with wooden spoon. On floured surface, knead gently till smooth. Roll dough out till about 3/4 inch thick. Cut out biscuits and place on greased cookie sheet.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or till lightly browned.
