ALMOND TEA BREAD | |
2 1/4 c. sugar 1 1/8 c. oil 3 eggs 3 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 c. milk 1 1/2 tsp. almond extract 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 tsp. imitation butter flavor (liquid) 1 1/2 tbsp. poppy seeds Cream sugar, oil and eggs. Mix dry ingredients. Alternate adding milk and dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix well. Add almond, vanilla, butter flavor and poppy seeds. Pour into 2 greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. GLAZE: 1/4 c. orange juice 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. almond extract 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. butter flavoring Mix together and heat over low heat. As soon as bread comes out of oven poke holes in top and pour glaze over. Take bread out of pans after glaze sets. |
