CRANBERRY NUT TEA BREAD | |
1 c. pecans or walnuts, chopped 1 c. cranberries, halved 2 c. sifted flour 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 1/4 tsp. salt 1 egg, lightly beaten 1/4 c. soft butter 4 (1 inch) squares orange peel, cut into strips, then chopped 1/3 c. orange juice 1/3 c. water 1 c. sugar Combine cranberries and nuts. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Sift into the cranberry-nut mixture. Mix gently. Combine remaining ingredients and mix gently, until just moistened. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes. |
